The Senior Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for managing employee relations, conducting policy analysis, and developing customized HR solutions for clients. This role requires full-time onsite presence. Salary: $80,000-$95,000 DOE.
The qualified candidate will possess robust experience in supporting employee relations, a strong grasp of CA labor laws, and a proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support HR leadership consultants by providing guidance to clients on wage and hour laws, employee relations, and compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Independently interpret and apply labor laws (e.g., FMLA, CFRA, ADA, FEHA, PDL, wage and hour regulations) to ensure legal compliance in HR policies and decisions.
- Maintain consistent communication and provide updates to consultants and clients on project, questions, etc.
- Conduct HR audits and risk assessments for clients, identifying areas of non-compliance and implementing corrective actions.
- Research as needed and provide information in a professional format to Consultants and clients.
- Manage complex employee relations matters, including workplace investigations, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and performance improvement plans.
- Develop, revise, and implement customized HR policies, procedures, and handbooks.
- Partner with clients to develop workforce planning strategies, including succession planning, organizational design, and leadership development initiatives.
- Analyze industry trends, compensation data, and employee engagement insights to provide strategic recommendations for talent retention and organizational development.
- Design and deliver training programs for managers and employees on critical HR topics.
- Lead client onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring alignment with HR best practices and compliance standards.
- Support client with overseeing leave of absence administration, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR trends, legislation, and best practices, proactively recommending policy and process improvements.
- Provide guidance on employee separations, including preparing termination documentation and facilitating exit discussions.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college.
- 4+ years related human resources generalist experience.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certificate preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high volume employee relations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized, attention to detail, and able to prioritize in a fast- paced environment.
- Proficient computer skills in MS Office software.
