We are recruiting for a Senior Human Resources Generalist with payroll experience to join a well-established production company in North Sacramento. Our client fosters a collaborative, flat organizational structure with strong leadership, making this an excellent opportunity to be part of an entrepreneurial environment. This role is 100% onsite, Monday through Friday. Salary: $75,000–$85,000 DOE.
The qualified candidate will be a well-rounded HR professional with at least three years of experience in in-house payroll processing, benefits administration, leave of absence management, and performance management.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and process payroll; identify errors or deviations and resolve with department staff.
- Prepare various payroll reports for internal and external purposes.
- Recruiting functions to include: posting positions to various job sites, screening candidates, drug testing & background check administration.
- Build out training programs with all levels of employee groups. Responsible for leadership training.
- Assist departments by providing payroll information and advice on payroll policies and procedures.
- Process, code, and reconcile invoices for various benefit plans.
- Review and process forms to execute benefit changes and other related transactions.
- Research discrepancies pertaining to compensation and benefits.
- Compensation duties: update and maintain job descriptions and salary ranges.
- Participate in ensuring locations have all required legal posters, developing various procedures to help facilitate compliance in areas such as recruiting, onboarding, leaves of absence, etc.
- Update and maintain the HR System to produce various regular reports, system testing, and timekeeping.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years related experience in a HR Generalist role with strong knowledge of CA wage & hour law.
- PHR or SPHR preferred.
- Must have experience processing in-house payroll.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detailed-oriented, accurate, thorough and takes extreme pride in work.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized and ability to meet deadlines in a high pressure, time sensitive environment.
- Must be punctual and dependable.
- Experience with Paycom is a plus.
