Job Description

Pacific Staffing is recruiting for a Senior Grants Accounting Coordinator for a leading non-profit organization based in Sacramento. This is a contract opportunity to work with a mission driven organization. Hybrid work schedule 3 days in office, $100/month technology stipend, and parking is included! This position is responsible for grants management, grants reporting, year-end audit preparation along with general accounting and administrative functions.  Pay: $38.50/hour.


The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of general and complex accounting experience. Grants management experience is highly desirable. 


RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee processes to track, review, analyze and reconcile all grant-related activities to financials and other related reports.  
  • Collaborate with department team members to monitor and track grant budgets. 
  • Prepare monthly grant financial reports. 
  • Meet with department team members regularly to provide updates on grant financial activity.  
  • Prepare invoices and reports to funders and ensure compliance with all contracts. 
  • Reconciliation of grant related balance sheet accounts. 
  • Prepare and maintain employee time and attendance in relation to grant financial activity. 
  • Serve as support to the Associate Director of Finance.
  • Attend and participate in required meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
  • 2-4 years of accounting experience
  • Experience with federal grant programs is desired
  • Non-profit, member driven associations, or community health center experience is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Grants Management 
  • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles   
  • Solid time management, problem solving and organizational skills 
  • Strong interpersonal and professional ability when engaging with vendors and partners
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based software and applications. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, plan strategically, and adapt to frequent change in a demanding environment.
