Senior Financial Planning Analyst – Hybrid

Job Description
We are recruiting a Senior Financial Planning Analyst for a global industry leader committed to sourcing and manufacturing the most innovative and high-quality products within their industry. Salary range: $120-150k plus an annual bonus.
The ideal candidate will come from a strong commercial finance and FP&A background, manufacturing industry, enjoys making sense of complex data sets for executive leaders (C-suite and other departments) to understand and advanced technology skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Drive the rolling forecast, annual budgeting, and long-term forecasting analytics activities for a targeted segment on behalf of the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function in Finance.
- Drive activities that support the annual planning efforts for revenue planning, operational expense planning, headcount planning, and/or capital expense planning for the organization
- Prepare various monthly actual vs. budget (vs. forecast) reports and produce variance analyses for operational management; effectively communicating key takeaways
- Monitor and report on key financial and operational metrics by department and site
- Provide general financial reporting and analytics for department and site level budget reporting
- Identify risks, opportunities, and other areas to improve business results
- Update and roll-forward tools and templates that support Financial Budgeting and Forecasting.
- Update and/or enhance reporting templates and tools to capture critical financial metrics
- Lead efforts to capture forecasting assumptions and leverage them to produce short- and long-range financial projections for both budget cycles and ad-hoc reports.
- Drive the updates of assigned business case studies for new company ventures
- Performs other duties and ad hoc analytics as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- BS degree in accounting or finance
- CPA or MBA preferred but not required.
- 5+ years of relevant Financial Planning and Analysis and Commercial Financial experience.
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP
- Ability to communicate complex Financial/Accounting terminology to non-financial personnel
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with different groups and levels across the company to capture/communicate key requirements
- Extensive demonstrable financial modeling and report development experience
- Proficient with analytics assignments and capturing key takeaways with minimal supervision
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite of products (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
- Advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel required.
- Able to work in a team environment.
