Our client in the greater Sacramento area is recruiting for an analytical and customer service oriented Senior Benefits Specialist. Ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of managing benefits and programs for a mid-size company. Our client offers four week vacation (first year), 70 hours of sick pay and a great medical benefits package. Ideal candidate will have experience in benefits reporting, open enrollment, outside vendor management andwill be customer service oriented. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity.

Primary Responsibilities: Maintain Benefits setup in HR System and integration files with vendors. Lead annual enrollment processes for all groups: active employees, LOAs, COBRA, Retirees. Lead ACA regulatory process. Including compliance, HR System setup, audit enrollments, employee forms, and IRS reporting. Reconcile vendor invoices. Maintain Benefits billing to ensure accurate and timely payments. Ensure compliance with Benefit laws/regulations. Monitor work of outsourced Benefits partner to ensure adherence to established procedures and SLAs. Partner with Benefits Broker and Accounting/Finance on benefits budget, accruals/expense, and to provide reporting. Maintains internal procedures of Benefits administration. Assists Benefits Manager with annual review ofbenefits vendors. Support and back-up to Benefits Manager.

Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor Degree and 5 years of experience, or equivalent. Benefits related certifications preferred. Strong communication and analytical skills. Strong working knowledge of HR Systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of laws and regulations relating to benefits administration (i.E. ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA). Knowledgeable in all areas of employee Benefits Administration. Exhibit high degree of professionalism and confidentiality. Possess excellent human relations, communications and business writing skills. Must be flexible and adaptable to changes. Possess effective time-management and organizational skills. High level of accuracy and great attention to detail.
