Job Description
We are recruiting a highly driven Senior Accounting Manager for one of Sacramento’s most desired employers. Our client is experiencing high growth with a solid profit margin. The Senior Accounting Manager will play an integral role in the company’s accounting operations and financial reporting processes. This position is onsite. Salary: $125,000-$145,000 DOE, plus profit sharing.
The qualified candidate will be a CPA with a strong reporting, internal controls, and processes background. Someone who works with a high degree of dedication to improvement and a strong sense of ownership will thrive in this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide cash flow planning, analysis, project budgeting and analysis.
- Prepare internal financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Supervise all Accounting Associates, manage their capacity and workload allocation, hold them accountable, and provide training and development.
- Assist in overseeing the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
- Ensure timeliness, quality, and completeness of all financial and accounting transactions and reporting.
- Maintain and enforce documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
- Review supporting schedules for all balance sheet accounts.
- Manage all aspects of the general ledger, including review of accounting entries.
- Ensure period end close processes are completed on time.
- Research and provide timely responses to financial reporting inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements for reporting purposes.
- Coordinate and oversee annual audit performed by external auditors.
- Perform other related duties and projects.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Five years of progressive, relevant accounting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
- CPA required.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulations.
- Ability to execute, follow up, and ensure attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Experience in a fast-growth environment and scaling people and processes.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting systems.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
