Senior Accountant – Direct Hire
We are recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join their dynamic accounting team. Our client offers a very collaborative team-oriented work environment, a lot of flexibility including occasional remote, and ample growth opportunities. Salary range: $85,000-$95,000/year.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the GAAP lease accounting standard ASC 842.
Primary responsibilities:
- Assists with the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP, internal policies and procedures and the established internal schedule.
- Prepares monthly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
- Analyzes financial statements and reports for discrepancies and other issues.
- Prepares regular and ad hoc operational reports, project reports, investment reports and analysis.
- Prepares accounts receivable invoicing.
- Assists with bank deposits and other treasury functions.
- Processes benefits information and transactions and completes year-end reporting.
- Tracks and maintains fixed assets and general fixed asset account group
- Assists with year-end audits and the annual budget process.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting is required. Minimum 3-5 years professional experience in Accounting or Finance.
- Knowledge of The GAAP lease accounting standard ASC 842.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel including familiarity with vlookups, pivot tables, etc.
- Strong experience in month-end closures required.
- Experience with financial analysis, forecasting, fixed assets, and data analysis.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
