The Accounting Manager will oversee the general ledger, employee expenses, reconciliations, and month-end closing.
Salary: $95,000-$110,000 per year plus bonus depending on experience.
The qualified candidate will have expertise in GL accounting, 1099s, reconciliations, and supervisory or leadership experience.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform general accounting functions to support accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Serve as a strategic partner to the Controller.
- Oversee accounts payable (AP), including invoice processing, vendor payments, and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and procurement, to ensure alignment and accuracy of financial data.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
- Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate posting of all journal entries.
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts, including cash and investments, to maintain accurate financial records.
- Ensure proper revenue recognition, expense recording, and accruals in compliance with company policies.
- Maintain the general ledger and perform account reconciliations to ensure financial integrity.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field (required).
- 4–6 years’ accounting, preferably in a Senior Accountant or similar role.
- Leadership or supervisor experience required.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
- Hands-on and technical expertise with accounting software systems required, Sage is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP and pivot tables); familiarity with other accounting software is a plus.
