Safety Manager
Job Description
We are recruiting a Safety Manager to join a family-owned manufacturing leader in the food services industry within the Sacramento area. The Safety Manager will develop and oversee company safety program initiatives to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines. This is a great direct hire, onsite opportunity with excellent benefits. Pay: $100k - $130k.
The ideal candidate has at least 8 years’ experience in food safety and health management, compliance with state and federal mandated regulatory requirements.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead safety initiatives to minimize incidents and uphold compliance standards.
Conduct audits and tests to detect and eliminate hazards, adhering to regulations.
Manage workers' compensation claims, overseeing resolution and return-to-work efforts.
Ensure environmental compliance and oversee hazardous waste disposal protocols.
Leads department collaboration and training for incident data and implementation of hazard control measures.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
8-12 years’ experience in health and food safety experience in manufacturing and production environments.
Expert knowledge of local, state, and federal food safety regulations and compliance.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Bilingual English-Spanish preferred.
Certified Safety Professional or similar preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
