Job Description
We are recruiting for a Regional Sales Manager to join the Hawaii division of a large and successful national distribution/manufacturing company. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily and long-term sales goals across all divisions by building customer relationships, monitoring trends, and growing business. Salary: $100,000-$125,000 DOE. Onsite in Oahu and travel is required.
The qualified candidate will have at least three years’ experience as a sales manager, a strong ability to build new relationships and will be proactive in monitoring market trends.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Regular networking to develop and build new relationships with senior members of contractor accounts, developers, associations, government divisions etc. statewide while strengthening existing.
- Participate as an active member of statewide industry associations while including and developing fellow sales team members to be actively involved.
- Build an industry leading sales team through training, coaching, mentoring sales staff with professional sales methods, processes, communication skills and procedures necessary to accomplish consistent service standards & sales growth.
- Gather and distribute sales leads to GMs for assignment to their sales teams statewide.
- Support outside salespeople with account development and relationship building skills.
- Develop a sales tracker to provide weekly reporting of sales KPI’s, including but not limited to leads & opportunities issued, quotes issued, products offered per lead, follow-up status, awarded sales per division. GP, Gross sales, growth of new accounts, attrition through added products.
- Quarterly account assessment reviews. Recommend changes and reassignment of accounts to provide the best service and sales growth potential.
- Monitor the performance of all outside salespeople across all divisions.
- Address customer concerns, feedback, and issues with the GM to help resolve in an expedited manner and avoid repeat occurrences.
- Work with location GMs to develop and maintain consistent service standards & processes provided by each location and their supporting teams.
- Ensure that salespeople are practicing consistent timely follow-up processes, proving interest in earning the business and developing accounts assigned to them.
- Strategize effectively with all divisions to develop and present sales and marketing campaigns intended to drive sales and boost revenues.
- May participate in interviewing, hiring, terminating, conducting performance evaluations of associates, and creating structured sales compensations programs.
- Collaborate with GMs, Division Controller and Senior Director to set annual budget plans related to sales and selling expense targets.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field required.
- 3 years’ experience in a Sales Manager or Manager related position required.
- 8 years’ experience in industry related sales/marketing preferred.
- Strong leadership and motivation skills.
- Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills; articulate with strong written communication skills.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to budget and analyze data.
