Job Description

We have an excellent opportunity with a global organization for a proactive and strategic HR Manager. This positionis directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function.The HR Manager will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. The ideal candidate will be able to provide analytical guidance and support for organizational planning and development initiatives that align the human resources agenda in support of key business strategies. Position is located in the Davis, CA and candidates must be able to occasionally travel overnight.

Responsibilities: Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the department. Implements and annually updates the compensation program; rewrites job descriptions; conducts annual salary surveys; analyzes compensation; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary. Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures. Conducts recruitment effort for all workers; writes and places advertisements; works with supervisors to screen and interview candidates; conducts reference checking; extends job offers; conducts new-employee orientations; and monitors career-path program. Handles employee relations investigations, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing. Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws. Leads people related initiatives, such as training and development plans.

Requirements: 5+ years' experience in Human Resources. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Master's degree in human resource management desirable. SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential. Adept at strategic thinking andexperience leading and managing high visibility projects. Exemplary interpersonal, written, organizational and communication skills. Knowledge of State and Federal laws, rules and regulations pertaining to labor, benefits and compensation. Working knowledge of Spanish a plus.
