Project Manager (Construction) - Direct Hire
Responsibilities: Work with key project stakeholders to evaluate options and organize work scopes to meet overall project needs. Procure contractors, oversee direct work and assist with writing scopes of work. Coordinate the design of mechanical, electrical and other construction projects with engineers, architects, and other infrastructure systems experts. Ensure safe construction practices, and proper construction permitting and inspection processes are followed. Assist with preliminary estimates of projects to evaluate their viability. Issue projects for bidding by outside consultants, evaluate pricing and provide recommendations. Responsible for baseline schedule, monitoring the progress of construction activities and initiating corrective action if necessary. Preparation of project budgets. Closely monitor project costs and implement cost control and cost forecasting of projects. Oversee/conduct project coordination meetings and represent the owner's interest as appropriate. Manages consultant contracts, change orders and invoicing along with other staff. Manage project close out activities.
Requirements:Ten years construction related project management experience. Bachelor's degree; PMI Certification preferred. OSHPD knowledge and experience preferred. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Excellent presentation skills and ability to respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Strong problem solving skills.
