Job Description
We are recruiting a Payroll Administrator for a successful manufacturing company located in Sacramento. Our client offers a hybrid work schedule after training, and a fun and collaborative team. This is a 1-year contract to support the Payroll Lead during a system implementation. The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll and ad-hoc reporting within ADP Reporting and ADP Enterprise. Pay: $28-35/hour
The ideal candidate will have processed payroll in ADP or a similar system and has advance MS Excel skills (at minimum can create pivot tables).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for bi-weekly full cycle payroll processing for 600 US Salaried Exempt and Non-Exempt employees; in addition to Union Employees.
Collect Timecards (approvals, audits, reporting); handle all payroll Inquiries and issues (Phone and email).
Prepare, analyze and develop payroll reports for HR, management and Finance.
Administer and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annually bonus performance plans.
Monthly Union Dues & Community Relations Check Requests.
Manage employee vacation accrual and sick time balances.
Fulfill wage garnishment requirements by completing forms, documenting and implementing withholdings.
Assist auditors in the annual audit process to ensure compliances.
Define and update Standard Operating Procedures within the Payroll Department
Approve vendor invoices.
Review & Reconcile Year-end tax reporting (accept W-2 for printing).
Manual Check Requests (final pays).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 1-2 years of high-volume payroll management experience.
Knowledge of ADP and other HRIS/Time Keeping software.
Standard Accounting Principal Knowledge.
Multiple business payroll processing preferred.
Prevailing wage knowledge a plus.
Able to work with a sense of urgency.
