We are seeking a Payroll Specialist for our client, a leading company in the manufacturing industry located in the greater Sacramento area. This role plays a vital part in ensuring accurate and timely in-house payroll processing for over 300 employees, maintaining compliance with regulations, and payroll-related functions across the organization.
Pay range: $30.00–$35.00 per hour (DOE) | Direct Hire | Onsite in Sacramento
Key Responsibilities:
Process payroll transactions, including salaries, wages, benefits, deductions, and reimbursements.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
Maintain payroll records and generate reports for audits and management.
Assist employees with payroll-related inquiries, ensuring accuracy and prompt resolution.
Collaborate with HR and finance teams to support payroll functions and improve processes.
Qualifications:
5+ years of in-house full-cycle payroll experience, preferably in manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, certified payroll, prevailing wage, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
Experience with payroll systems (Kronos preferred) and Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
