We are recruiting an experienced Payroll Specialist to support a large nationwide workforce for a technology company. The Payroll Specialist is critical to ensure hourly and salaried workforce are paid accurately and on time (biweekly) in Workday system. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Workday payroll, multi-state payroll regulations, taxes and compliance requirements.
- Pay Range: $33-$38/hour
- Remote (must be located in California)
- Contract 3-6 months
Primary Responsibilities
- Process biweekly payroll in Workday for both hourly and salaried nationwide employees.
- Manage payroll data and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Resolve payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies
- Maintain accurate payroll records and generate reports
- Provide training and support to payroll team members in workday.
- Leverage Workday payroll functionality to streamline and optimize payroll processes.
Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on payroll specialist experience in Workday system.
- Proven experience in multi-state payroll processing.
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with Workday payroll configuration and management a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
