We are seeking a highly accomplished and strategic Chief Financial Officer to oversee all financial operations and contribute significantly to our client’s growth and success. This pivotal role demands a seasoned professional with a strong background in financial management, strategy, compliance, and team leadership, ideally within a B2B SaaS startup environment. This role will be 100% virtual/remote located in the United States.
Compensation: $180,000-$240,000 plus equity
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accounting & Revenue Recognition: Ensure GAAP compliance, manage revenue recognition under ASC 606, align billing with contracts, and deliver financial statements with revenue analysis.
- Financial Management & Strategy: Lead FP&A processes, develop KPI metrics, create financial strategies, provide insights to leadership, and maintain financial models.
- Risk Management & Compliance: Identify and mitigate risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage external auditor and stakeholder relationships.
- Tax Strategy & Compliance: Oversee tax planning and compliance, manage tax filings, and handle tax audits and dispute resolution.
- Leadership & Team Development: Mentor and develop finance personnel, build a high-performance team, and foster professional growth through training.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Oversee timely and accurate financial reporting, track key metrics, and conduct regular financial reviews with actionable insights.
- Investor Relations & Capital Management: Lead capital fundraising efforts, manage investor relations, and optimize the company’s capital structure.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; MBA or master’s in finance preferred. CPA, CFA, or similar certifications are a plus.
- Experience: 5-10 years in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Expertise in financial management, governance, strategic planning, and tax management.
- Industry & Business Expertise: Proven success in B2B Enterprise SaaS businesses, early-stage high-growth companies, investor relations, and banking partnerships. Experience in mergers, acquisitions, and strategic exits.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities. Expertise in financial software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Skilled in managing teams and developing talent.
