We are recruiting a Medical Assistant for a busy clinic in Grass Valley. This is a contract position for approximately three months, however, could be a good opportunity for hire within the company in other departments. Duties include standard back office and clinical operations such as answering phones, scheduling appointments and procedures and rooming patients. Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. Pay: $25.73/hour.
The ideal candidate will have at least six months of medical assisting experience in a clinical setting and strong patient customer service.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare patients for examination and treatment; take vital signs etc.
- Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
- Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments, including equipment sterilization.
- Assist with scheduling patient tests and treatments.
- Ensure that all treatment rooms are cleaned and stocked at the end of the workday.
- Process prescription refills in compliance with established procedures, assuring authorization for prescriptions as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 6 months-1-year medical assisting experience is required.
- High School Diploma required.
- Completion of Medical Assisting program required; must be able to present MA diploma.
- CCMA is a plus.
- Current BLS-CPR through AHA is required.
- Ability to take vital signs and record in electronic medical records.
- Positive attitude and cheerful demeanor.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills are essential.
- Ability to use good judgement and clear a criminal background check and drug screen.
