Leave of Absence Specialist - Direct Hire
Responsibilities: Manage the outsourced administration of all leaves of absence acting as the liaison between the vendor, employees, managers, and HR while ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. Managetimecards for LOA's- including coding and sick/vacation coordination with disability. Manage the outsourced administration of workers' compensation claims including ergonomic evaluations of work areas. Administer ADAA claims and provide consultation to employees and HR team for ADAAA/workplace accommodation requests. Serve as leaveof absence subject matter expert familiar with leave of absence and disability provisions. Respond to employee and HR inquiries and escalations related leave benefit programs primarily via email, and occasionally by telephone and in person as appropriate. Monitor and assist with employee benefits eligibility, application, and related vendor management functions; troubleshoot and assist in resolution of issues. Serve as liaison between company and third parties including health and insurance suppliers, leave administrators, and carriers; trend and address issues. Manage incoming third party requests, benefits department mail, and other miscellaneous inquiries.
Requirements: Minimum of 2 years' experience in leave of absence administration. Demonstrated working knowledge of absence management under federal and state leave laws and applicable federal and state regulations. Effective interpersonal skills, and excellent comprehension and analytical skills. Attentiveness to detail and the ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects. Ability to synthesize legal documentation; benefit plan documents, government regulations, and other complex benefit related materials. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
