We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Labor Compliance Specialist for an industrial and construction company that services northern California. Pay range: $28.00 - $32.00/hour DOE
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensuring the accurate processing, recording, and reporting of Certified Payroll Records (CPR).
- Maintaining compliance with California Prevailing Wage Law.
- Adhering to the requirements of the Federal Davis-Bacon and related Acts.
- Managing Public Works Administration (PWA) obligations related to the Inflation Reduction Act.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable Union Master Labor Agreements.
- Undertaking additional assignments as required to support the needs of the team.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience (typically 2+ years) in labor compliance within the construction industry.
- Thorough understanding of federal and California state labor laws, particularly prevailing wage regulations (Davis-Bacon Act, California Labor Code).
- Experience reviewing and processing certified payroll.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
