Job Description

We are recruiting for a Human Resources Manager for a thriving service-based organization in the Sacramento area. The Human Resources Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department. Salary: $95, 000/year.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with demonstrated experience in employee recruitment and retention, employee benefits, company policies and procedures, and employee relations matters.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Monitor employment practices and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
  • Collaborate with department heads and supervisors to forecast personnel needs.
  • Oversee employee recruitment and retention and implement effective strategies.
  • Oversee new-employee orientation and onboarding processes.
  • Maintain employee related records and data.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are compliant and followed consistently.
  • Ensure compliance with wage and hour business practices.
  • Provide assistance to employees with questions and coordinate with other teams to resolve employee inquiries.
  • Provide support for managers to navigate employee relations and conflict management.
  • Conduct internal investigations into claims of harassment, discrimination, or other company or customer policy violations as needed.
  • Develop and implement employee training and development programs with the collaboration of the senior leadership.
  • Monitor workers compensation and unemployment claims management.
  • Complete special projects assigned by the CEO.
  • Notify executive team regarding opportunity for improvement or any problem affecting the company, its processes, or services to clients. Work toward the resolution of these opportunities and problems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor s degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent combination of education and additional experience in a human resources setting.
  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible human resources experience, including two (2) years in an HR Generalist role or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience, preferably in a human resources setting.
  • HRCI or SHRM certification is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of human resources practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
