Job Description
We are recruiting a Human Resource Generalist for a health and human services company in Stockton, CA. This position is 100% onsite and a contract role with the possibility of getting hired. The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for full cycle recruiting (staffing) for day to day positions, benefits management, LOA’s and administration of company policies. Pay range: $27-$29/hour DOE.
The qualified candidate will have at least three years of HR generalist experience with proven skills in recruitment and supporting a busy HR Department.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to benefits, leave of absence, and training and development.
- Manage new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Review, track, and document compliance to include training, continuing education, and work assessments.
- Assist with benefits administration.
- Handle employment and workplace-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Manage leave of absence and HRIS.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience supporting a Human Resources department.
- Strong experience with full cycle recruiting.
- Highly reliable and professional.
- Experience with benefits administration.
- Ability to display integrity and confidentiality.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in HRIS and talent management systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
