Pacific Staffing is recruiting for a Human Resources Generalist for a highly successful construction and real estate management company. Our client offers a competitive compensation package and generous benefits! The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for daily HR functions to include enforcement of policies and procedures, payroll, employee relations, recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, and administering pay, benefits, and leave of absence. Salary: $75, 000/year.


The ideal candidate will possess a strong generalist background including employee relations experience, attention to detail and organizational skills.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage daily HR tasks to include payroll, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Prepare Payroll data and processes bi-weekly payroll.
  • Participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.
  • Prepare regular payroll and HR reports.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
  • Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Support special projects as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Minimum 3+ years Specialist or Generalist experience.
  • PHR or SHRM Certified preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Solid experience using HR software and HRIS databases.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus.
  • Highly organized and efficient; ability to prioritize with good time-management skills.
  • Positive and personable demeanor.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Willing to take initiative and work independently when needed.
  • Professional integrity and sense of responsibility and accountability.
