Job Description
Pacific Staffing is recruiting for a Human Resources Generalist for a highly successful construction and real estate management company. Our client offers a competitive compensation package and generous benefits! The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for daily HR functions to include enforcement of policies and procedures, payroll, employee relations, recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, and administering pay, benefits, and leave of absence. Salary: $75, 000/year.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong generalist background including employee relations experience, attention to detail and organizational skills.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong generalist background including employee relations experience, attention to detail and organizational skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage daily HR tasks to include payroll, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Prepare Payroll data and processes bi-weekly payroll.
- Participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.
- Prepare regular payroll and HR reports.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
- Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Support special projects as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Minimum 3+ years Specialist or Generalist experience.
- PHR or SHRM Certified preferred.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Solid experience using HR software and HRIS databases.
- Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus.
- Highly organized and efficient; ability to prioritize with good time-management skills.
- Positive and personable demeanor.
- Ability to handle stressful situations.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Willing to take initiative and work independently when needed.
- Professional integrity and sense of responsibility and accountability.
