Job Description

We are recruiting for an ambitious Human Resources Generalist to join a highly competent and high-touch HR department of a stable technology company based in Sacramento, CA. The HR Generalist will be responsible for supporting with a variety of HR functions including (but not limited to) benefits/payroll administration, leaves management, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, etc. Our client offers a hybrid work schedule after training, team-support towards developing individual career/skills, and advancement opportunities! Pay: $35/hour


The ideal candidate will have at least 3-4 years’ experience supporting a busy Human Resources department, intermediate proficiency in MS Excel, and a proactive work ethic.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Acts a liaison between business partners and works closely with the Human Resources leadership, Corporate Human Resources, Corporate Legal and appropriate Business Management in coordinating the investigation of policy violations, and determining the appropriate disciplinary action
  • Continually monitors overall employee performance, consults with supervisors on the appropriate course to address performance issues, and provides legal and HR review to any performance documents
  • Communicates HR policies and procedures to employees
  • Assists in the creation and delivery of employee training
  • Owns employee relations and LOA cases, interactive process, accommodations, makes sound decisions after consulting with supervisor and communicates to employees the outcome tactfully and gracefully
  • Assists salary administration for new hires, reclassifications, reorganizations, and special projects
  • Collaborates with a centralized HR function to provide service to assist with all matters related to benefits, payroll, and regulatory compliance (EEOA, ADA, FMLA, COBRA, Workers' Compensation Act, and applicable State labor laws, etc.)
  • May administer leave management and accommodation processes
  • Participates in initial data intake and analysis for compensation requests
  • Partners with managers and participate in organizational design
  • Manages Human Resources administrative systems
  • Facilitates the performance management process by supporting both managers and staff
  • Support the administration and implementation of the annual merit increase and bonus process
  • Ensures prompt and professional response to all requests for employee relations guidance/assistance.
  • Produces and creates complex HR reports as needed.
  • Interviews qualified candidates both hourly and salaried, schedules interviews with the hiring managers
  • Provides technical guidance, consulting, and problem resolution for human resources related issues


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years’ direct experience in Human Resources, Business Management, or Organization Development
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP preferred
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge HRIS applications and analytics
  • Solid knowledge of employment law, and HR policies and practices
  • Ability to use good judgement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel within the USA (up to 10%)
