Pacific Staffing is recruiting for a Human Resources Director for a non-profit organization in Sacramento. This is a hybrid (mostly remote) opportunity to work for a mission driven company that invests in their employees through generous healthcare benefits, tuition reimbursement, CalPERS retirement plan and other perks. 
The Human Resources Director is responsible to lead the HR function for the organization, driving strategies to support a work environment of human resources excellence and collaborate with executive leadership to meet business operations goals. 
The qualified candidate will be an expert in Human Resources matters and lead with a hands-on approach. Salary: $110k-$160k DOE.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the HR department s goals and objectives.
  • Serve as a leader within the HR department and to the organization at large.
  • Create and foster critical relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead efforts to develop an employee compensation framework to ensure consistency and equity.
  • Develop staff plans during budget planning.
  • Serve as an integrated part of the business, working with and advising the leaders of respective client groups to align with and assist in accomplishing broader strategic objectives.
  • Analyze business unit data to identify trends and recommend innovative solutions to improve performance, retention, engagement, and employee experience.
  • Assess and identify professional development needs organization-wide and lead the identification and/or development of professional development curriculum.
  • Organize and perform staff trainings on HR related topics including people management and applicable HR laws.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 8-10 years experience working as a Human Resources Leader.
  • Bachelor's degree; preferably in Business, Management or Human Resources.
  • PHR / SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP Certification preferred.
  • Must have strong leadership and employee relations. 
  • Demonstrated skill, experience, and acumen in developing and managing staff teams, particularly in developing and leading staff.
  • A strategic and creative thinker who can problem-solve and work with all levels of employees. 
  • Excellent communication skills, oral communication, and public speaking skills.
  • Solid computer skills and ability to learn new systems. 
  • Experience reviewing and developing business and administrative processes with a strong interest in understanding technology solutions.
  • Attention to detail, discretion, sound judgment, and a sense of urgency are required.
  • Strong project management: ability to prioritize tasks, efficiently manage time, and execute projects effectively with limited supervision and according to established deadlines.
  • A self-starter and quick learner who is highly motivated and outcome-oriented, always seeking innovative approaches to project execution.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
