Job Description

We are recruiting for a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join a professional services organization in Sacramento. Our client offers competitive pay, a generous benefits package and a flexible (hybrid) work environment. The HRBP is responsible for leading and implementing HR initiatives that align with the company’s long-term strategic goals and support a high performing work culture. Salary: $110,000-$125,000 DOE. 


The qualified candidate will have a minimum of five progressive years’ experience in human resources including employee relations, change management, compensation, organizational development, and performance development.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as a senior strategic consultant to executive leadership. Collaborate to design and implement forward-thinking HR initiatives that drive business success.
  • Provide expert consultation on organizational development to ensure sustainable growth and operational excellence.
  • Develop and execute robust talent management strategies, including succession planning, workforce planning, and leadership development. 
  • Utilize advanced HR analytics to identify trends, forecast workforce needs, and provide data-driven insights to executive leadership. 
  • Drive a high-performance culture by implementing processes that enhance accountability, productivity, and leadership effectiveness.
  • Manage complex employee relations issues and investigations. 
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of labor laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead efforts to enhance employee engagement and morale.


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years progressive responsibility in human resources is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • HR Certification is a plus.
  • Strong professionalism and exceptional stakeholder management skills to partner with all levels of employees. 
  • Good understanding of employment law and clear judgment on when to escalate matters.
  • Ability to form strategic partnerships with senior leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, case law, principles, and practices related to employee conduct, performance, and dispute resolution.
  • Demonstrated solid judgment and experience assessing risk relative to the business.
  • Solid project management and change management experience.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively analyze data and provide recommendations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and HR systems.
  • Must possess discretion and a strong sense of confidentiality.
