Job Description

A growing healthcare organization (Rancho Cordova & Sacramento locations) is currently hiring multiple Call Center Representatives for their busy patient servicing call center. The Call Center Representative provides first point of contact customer service for patient inquiries regarding appointments, medication refills, referrals, eligibility, and also educates patients on health programs and procedures. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a call center environment, knows medical terminology, and flexible to adapt quickly to change. Bilingual in any of the following languages is a plus: Spanish, Hmong, Hindi, Russian, Ukrainian, Farsi, Vietnamese, Urdu. Starting shift: M-F 9: 30am-6pm.

Responsibilities: Acts as first point of contact for incoming customer inquiries and requests by email, phone, and web portal channels. Answer an average of 100+ incoming calls on dial-in cue on a daily basis. Takes messages and routes calls as is appropriate. Understands the organization and helps navigate patients through the processes. Determines client and patient eligibility. Receives and processes fees or credit card payments prior to client appointments. Facilitates new patient registration, schedules patient appointments and follows up with reminders for upcoming appointments.

Requirements: 2+ years' experience in a high volume call center or contract center environment.1-2 years in a healthcare environment or medical clinical/practice setting. Excellent customer service with professional verbal and written communication skills. Medical Terminology knowledge is preferred. Knowledge of patient medications and refills a plus. Experience with anEHR or EMR database software preferred. Bilingual in English and any of the above languages is a plus. Proficient level Computer skills in MS Outlook and Word is required. Immediate availability to work onsite in call center required.
