We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Financial Analyst on behalf of our Sacramento-based client. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys partnering with leadership, analyzing financial performance, and supporting data-driven decision-making.

The qualified candidate has 3-5 years of experience performing budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support organizational planning.
- Salary range: up to $95,000 DOE
- 4 days onsite after training
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Analyze financial data, trends, and KPIs to provide actionable insights
- Support month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Assist with cost analysis, modeling, and scenario planning
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support operational and strategic initiatives
- Maintain and improve financial models and reporting tools
- Support audit preparation and compliance requirements
- Participate in process improvement efforts to enhance accuracy and efficiency
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 3-5 years of professional experience financial analysis
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, and the use of complex formulas and functions to support project and budget management.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex data
- Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with ERP systems preferred
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
