We are recruiting for an Employee Relations Manager to join a thriving health and human services company in Sacramento, CA. This position will be responsible for managing high volume employee relations within multi-site locations and will be mentoring another Business Partner. Salary: $125,000-$145,000 DOE.
The qualified candidate will have a solid Human Resources Business Partner background and strong labor law knowledge with 8-10 years of employee relations experience.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with operational leadership to execute strategies that inspire employees to reach their full potential as well as support company goals.
- Consult, advise and partner with leadership on performance management and more complex employee relations matters.
- Develop, recommend, and implement strategies and initiatives that support the organization's operational needs in leadership selection, talent management, and employee development.
- Provide consultancy, advice and coaching to managers as appropriate.
- Counsel and facilitate change management within designated groups.
- Proactively identify talent management opportunities and workforce projections to support growth.
- Coordinate and deliver training to leaders and employees on human resources related topics.
- Conduct sensitive, confidential, objective, and thorough investigations.
- Serve as trusted advisor and valued business partner to operational business partners.
- Evaluate and analyze data and metrics from HR/operations reports to determine opportunities or impacts to the company.
- Drive employee centric culture including management and employee development initiatives.
- Perform other duties as required.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 8 to 10 years in Human Resources with related employee relations experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field and/or Human Resources required.
- PHR or SPHR preferred.
- Experience with conflict resolutions and employee relations investigations required.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and listening skills.
- Detail oriented and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of using good judgment and discretion in handling HR accountabilities.
- Strong dependability with an ability to follow through and meet commitments.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines.
- Self-starter who takes initiative to perform duties independently as well as in a team.
- Maintain a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local requirements and regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and experience with HRIS systems.
