Job Description

Pacific Staffing is recruiting an experienced Director of Marketing and Communications to join an advocacy organization in the Sacramento area. The Director of Marketing and Communications will manage and oversee the planning and application of strategic marketing and communication initiatives for the organization and stakeholders, including oversight of the organization’s membership processes. Pay: $130k - $150k.


The ideal candidate has Marketing and Communications leadership experience and comes from a membership based nonprofit background.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Spearhead the development and implementation of strategic marketing and communication strategies.
  • Craft and execute a comprehensive marketing efforts for business development efforts.
  • Oversee all external communication endeavors, including content creation, editing, design, and distribution across diverse media and publication platforms.
  • Employ targeted distribution strategies to targeted audiences through various marketing channels.
  • Direct the management and optimization of website content and contribute to effective copywriting for various marketing channels.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement strategies for increased member engagement and loyalty, utilizing metrics and data analytics.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years’ experience in Marketing and Member Leadership roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Communications or similar. 
  • Proven budget management skills while adhering to project deadlines.
  • Proficiency in creating diverse marketing materials (print and digital).
  • Web management skills and effective copywriting abilities.
  • Data analytics expertise to influence marketing strategies.
  • Experience in crafting speeches or scripts for executive staff.
  • Ability to handle media inquiries and engage in public speaking on behalf of the organization.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in budget development and administration principles and practices.
  • Expert knowledge in marketing, public relations, advertising, and sales and contract principles and practices.
