Job Description
We are recruiting a seasoned and strategic Director of Contracts & Compliance to join a leading regional community servicing non-profit organization. The Director of Contracts & Compliance will spearhead the entire life cycle of government contracts and compliance across federal, state, and local levels. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leadership over contracts and compliance departments. Government contracts and grants experience preferred.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the entire life cycle of government contracts and associated compliance requirements.
- Acting as the bridge between our organization and Contracting Officers, this role will manage pre-award activities such as solicitations, proposals, and contract negotiations.
- Oversee cradle-to-grave contract administration on designated contracts.
- Establish policies and procedures aligned with corporate strategy, communicate government procurement requirements to the organization (FAR, etc.).
- Serve as the primary liaison between the organization and agency contracting officers or subcontract procurement agents.
- Oversee pre-award activities related to solicitations, proposals, and contract negotiations.
- Administer cradle-to-grave contract management for assigned contracts, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
- Develop policies and procedures aligning with corporate strategy and authorization levels.
- Communicate and provide comprehensive training on government procurement requirements such as FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) to the Organization.
- Contribute strategically to the overall success and growth of the Organization.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10+ years’ experience with government contracts management in a senior capacity, or a master’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of government procurement regulations (FAR, etc.) and compliance requirements.
- Proven track record in successful contract negotiations and administration.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to strategize, mentor, and develop teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
