The Director, Revenue Cycle will oversee revenue analysis, manage billing and collections, and drive improvements across departments. This role involves significant leadership responsibilities, empowering you to shape and enhance billing practices. Salary: $130,000- $160,000 DOE.
The qualified candidate will possess strategic expertise in revenue cycle management, extensive knowledge of medical billing processes, and exceptional leadership capabilities. Our client seeks a proactive and hands-on leader capable of implementing efficiencies, streamlining processes, and assuming full ownership of the organization's revenue cycle operations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct comprehensive revenue cycle analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Audit billing and collections processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
- Interpret payer contracts to optimize revenue and maintain compliance.
- Strategize on payer contract management ensuring compliance with new sites.
- Oversee department staff; provide training and mentoring; conduct team meetings.
- Utilize various revenue cycle/practice management software for efficient revenue cycle management.
- Produce reports, present findings, and strategic recommendations to executive teams.
- Develop new processes and reinforce existing processes.
- Oversee coding, training and clinician documentation that affects revenue cycle.
- Explore additional revenue producing activities, including external contracting options.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in revenue cycle, billing, and collections in a management capacity.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Solid understanding and the ability to interpret payer contracts is strongly preferred.
- Experience in billing and claims submission, denial management, and payment posting.
- Proven experience presenting to executive teams with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with revenue cycle management software required.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage relationships with all stakeholders.
- Tech-savvy with advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
- Ability to use good judgment.
