Pacific Staffing is seeking an experienced DOT Compliance Coordinator to join a renowned company in the Sacramento region. The DOT Compliance Coordinator will play a crucial role in maintaining compliance with all DOT regulations and standards, as well as oversight and implementation of policies and procedures related to DOT compliance. Pay Range: 25-30/hour #onsite #temp (with potential for hire)

The ideal candidate has state and federal DOT compliance and regulation knowledge and experience from construction, transportation or industrial industries.  Prior working knowledge of JJ Kelly and Samba Systems is preferred. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor and enforce compliance with all DOT regulations, driver qualification files, drug and alcohol testing, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure that all company operations adhere to DOT guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop and update DOT-related policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of driver qualifications, training, and certifications.
  • Stay up to date with changes in DOT regulations and communicate these changes to relevant stakeholders.
  • Update and manage compliance systems for all employees.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of DOT compliance training programs for employees and drivers.
  • Investigate and address any compliance violations or incidents, recommending corrective actions when necessary.
  • Prepare reports and documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Provide administrative assistance as needed. 
  • Assists with onboarding and DOT compliance for all new hires.


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong knowledge of state and federal DOT regulations and compliance requirements.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a DOT compliance role within construction/industrial/transportation industries.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Samba, JJ Keller, and MS Office applications.
  • Excellent critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills.
