Pacific Staffing is partnering with our client to identify an accomplished Corporate Controller (CPA) to lead all accounting operations and deliver strategic financial insights within a high-growth organization. This role is ideal for a seasoned accounting leader with deep GAAP expertise, strong audit experience, and a proven ability to manage complex financial processes while developing high-performing teams.
The Corporate Controller will oversee the monthly close, financial reporting, internal controls, audit preparation, tax compliance, and ERP/process improvements — ensuring financial accuracy and supporting long-term business strategy.
- 100% virtual role; candidates must reside in Northern California. Limited travel required.
- Compensation: $180,000-$250,000/Year (DOE)
Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and cost accounting.
- Lead the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and continuous improvement.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance reports.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and all regulatory requirements.
- Manage audit preparation, maintain strong relationships with external auditors, and uphold internal controls.
- Drive automation, ERP implementation, and accounting system enhancements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff; promote cross-training and operational efficiency.
- Support strategic financial planning, investment analysis, and cash flow management.
- Oversee preparation of local, state, and federal tax filings.
- Manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; CPA required.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Big 4 public accounting experience highly preferred.
- Strong GAAP knowledge, audit experience, and internal controls expertise.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and accounting automation.
- Detail-oriented approach with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven leadership skills with experience developing and managing accounting teams.
- Ability to manage complex workloads and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
