Pacific Staffing is partnering with our greater Sacramento based client to identify a Controller to oversee all accounting and financial operations, including general ledger management, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and team leadership. Ideal candidate will have experience with restricted funds.
This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who excels in general ledger maintenance project accounting, compliance, process improvement, and supporting organizational growth in a fast-paced environment. - Salary - $120,000-$140,000
Responsibilities
- Lead all core accounting operations, including general ledger oversight, monthly/annual close, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, GAAP compliance, and regulatory alignment while managing cash flow, AP/AR, and financial systems.
- Oversee audits, ensure accurate financial documentation, and partner with executive leadership on financial strategy, performance analysis, and long-term planning.
- Drive process improvements, optimize workflows and systems, supervise the accounting team, and uphold confidentiality and sound judgment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/CMA strongly preferred, with several years of progressive accounting leadership experience.
- Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, cash flow management, internal controls, and GAAP compliance.
- Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems and advanced Excel skills, with a proven ability to enhance financial processes and workflows.
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
