We are seeking a Contract Recruiter for our client, a well-established manufacturing organization in the Rancho Cordova area. The Contract Recruiter will be responsible for high volume recruitment for engineering, research and development and supporting roles. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on recruiter with at least five years’ recruiting experience in manufacturing, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
- Pay Range: $35–$46/hour (DOE)
- Location: Rancho Cordova, CA (Onsite, 5 days/week)
- Employment Type: Contract (4 months) with contract-to-hire potential
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for high-volume manufacturing, operational, skilled trades, and engineering roles.
- Lead structured intake meetings to define role requirements, timelines, and hiring criteria
- Build and maintain proactive pipelines for recurring production roles and hard-to-fill technical positions.
- Maintain accurate candidate data, notes, and hiring decisions in the ATS.
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to standardize and improve recruiting workflows as the function matures.
- Deliver a professional, responsive candidate experience.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including sustained high-volume hiring in manufacturing, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
- Ability to manage high volume requisitions with urgency and accuracy.
- Strong relationship-building skills and credibility with hiring managers.
- Ability to work in an evolving environment where processes are still being defined.
- Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through.
- Familiarity with ATS platforms; comfort with AI-assisted sourcing tools.
- Experience contributing to process improvements in a growing Talent Acquisition function.
- Knowledge of California hiring compliance.
