Job Description
We are recruiting for a Consumer Loan Servicing Technician to join a highly reputable financial services company. This is an onsite position at the corporate office in Sacramento and a long-term contract opportunity (6 months) with potential for hire. The Loan Servicing Technician will support the servicing and maintenance of loan products, vehicle titling and equity releases. Pay: $22/hour.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in a financial institution and is comfortable handling a large volume of calls in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handle high volume inbound phone calls from external and internal members.
- Process customer requests submitted through queues, email inboxes and faxes.
- Respond to Consumer Loan Servicing research requests within established timeframes.
- Investigate and correct credit reporting, equity releases and vehicle titling issues in an accurate and timely manner.
- Obtain and verify loan payoff information from external financial institutions.
- Research incomplete or inaccurate information. Work with appropriate parties to obtain missing paperwork and payoff shortages.
- Monitor active accounts to ensure continued compliance. Perform follow-up on aging, outstanding titles and equity releases and work with appropriate parties. Recommend and take appropriate actions toward resolution.
- Review, analyze, and evaluate auto loan titling documentation based on DMV requirements and apply knowledge of titling procedures to submit consumer loan paperwork.
- Responsible for extensive and complex communication with members, dealers, financial institutions, vendors, and motor vehicle departments for problem resolution for pending titles and research items.
- Must be able to perform amortizations of Consumer Loans.
- Full servicing of HELOC accounts, such as producing payoff requests, posting payoff checks, preparing reconveyances, and researching customer inquiries.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 2 or more years at a financial institution performing customer service, check posting, extensive research investigating, report creation and analysis, credit report review, analysis and correction, vehicle titling and/or real estate releases.
- Call center and/or member service experience.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
- Knowledge of California DMV motor vehicle regulations pertaining to vehicle titling and release regulations, credit dispute requirements and/or real estate reconveyance processes, required.
- Knowledge of electronic DMV titling and requirements thereof.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and ability to quickly learn new technology.
