Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and self-driven College Campus Recruiter for a rapidly growing national building material distribution company. This position can be based in Sacramento, CA or Dallas, Texas. The College Campus Recruiter will be responsible for building relationships with colleges/universities to attract top talent graduates who will be developed for leadership roles. This is a newly created position and exciting role for someone who enjoys challenges and will be proactive in creating relationships with executives at educational institutions as well as students who attend the schools. Must be able to travel up to 40% of the time. Salary: $90,000-$120,000 DOE.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for networking and business development, and a drive to identify and engage with talented individuals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and own the recruitment process for colleges/universities to target top graduates interested in training and growing into leadership roles.
- Develop and maintain relationships with colleges, universities, and student organizations to promote employer brand and recruit top talent.
- Proactive in developing relationships with career centers and department heads and participate in recruiting events on college campuses.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and develop strategies to attract qualified candidates.
- Conduct informational interviews and networking sessions with students to build a pipeline of potential candidates.
- Manage the full recruiting lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and extending offers to candidates.
- Act as mentor to recruits as they go through the training program (est.1.5-2 years).
- Build a trust with the recruit and with managers in the company to best align what the recruit wants with what the company sees as a path for future success (i.e. positions in Sales, Purchasing, Accounting, Customer Service, Operations, Inventory Management and Logistics).
- Collaborate with the leadership team to enhance college recruiting program and streamline processes.
- Manage and maintain strong company brand recognition through development of recruiting marketing material.
- Track and analyze recruiting metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campus recruiting efforts and make data-driven decisions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in college recruiting or talent acquisition, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with students, faculty, and staff at all levels.
- Program/project management experience is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS).
- Knowledge of best practices in recruiting and a passion for staying current on industry trends.
- Self-directed and works with a sense of urgency. Strong business acumen to select top talent that will successfully complete training for leadership roles within the organization.
- Ability to provide metrics for hiring and program completion success.
- Ability to travel 40% of the time.
