Job Description
Pacific Staffing is recruiting a hands-on Chief Operations Officer (COO) for a highly profitable and rapidly growing organization in Modesto, CA. The COO will be responsible for managing all operational aspects of the company. This will be a critical role assisting the CEO in providing vision, leadership, and management necessary to ensure the company has the proper operational processes and systems in place, as well as the continued growth and development of a high-performing and passionate operations team. Salary range: $200k-$260k + bonus.
This position requires an emotionally intelligent, strong leader with a proven track record of successfully moving logistics/transportation businesses forward. The ideal candidate will have a passion for current operations and an eye towards the future and long-term success of the business.

RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Lead, develop and execute strategic initiatives, streamline processes, and implement efficient business practices.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company's transportation and equipment.
- Manage safety and compliance programs.
- Work with the sales team to develop and implement marketing and pricing strategies.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers, and customers.
- Ensure budgeting processes are in place that will allow for sustainable growth.
- Stay current on industry trends and regulations.
- Report accurately on performance relative to goals and on key performance indicators.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and customer service, to align operational activities with overall business objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10+ years of operations leadership experience in logistics or transportation required.
- Demonstrated competency in strategic planning and business development.
- Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
- Outstanding organizational, interpersonal and leadership abilities.
- Ability to lead and mentor the operations team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Aptitude in decision-making at an executive level.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
