Certified Public Accountant
Responsibilities: Prepare timely and accurate financial statements inaccordance with GAAP. Prepare tax returns (Individual, Corporate, Partnerships). Act as first point of contact to clients and manage client accounts. Performs monthly journal entries, reconciles general ledger accounts, prepares financials and ownership schedules, as well as, researches problems and questions, and completes quarterly reporting, audit, regulatory and various tax schedules. Gain understanding of clients' needs and expectations, their business and industry, accounting and control systems, employees, company values and industry specific GAAP issues. Maintain a good working relationship with clients. Assess risks and evaluate the client's internal control structure. Corrects and guides other team members as to general ledger accounts and reconciliations based on financial reviews.
Requirements: Four year degree with a focus in Accounting or Finance. CPA licenserequired. Experience in public accounting as typically acquired in five or more years. Advanced MS Excel skills with working knowledge of V-Lookups and Pivot tables. Effective written and verbal communication abilities. Knowledge of financial analysis and reporting methodologies (e.G. Regulatory reporting).
