Job Description
Pacific Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Buyer to join the procurement team of a rapidly growing national organization. This is a direct hire on-site position in the Sacramento area. Our client offers generous medical and health benefits, 401k with 4.5% match, two weeks vacation pay, two weeks paid sick leave, 12 paid holidays and other great programs. Salary range: $80k-$85k + annual bonus.
The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic professional buyer with experience in purchasing raw materials/production and possesses strong technical skills with ERP systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Procure goods and services. Solicit and evaluate bids.
- Enter requisitions as needed to support various departments.
- Provide purchasing support to internal users for assigned commodities and services.
- Work with end users, develop and initiate requests for proposal documents, review supplier proposals, make supplier recommendation, review, and negotiate pricing along with terms and conditions, issue purchase orders.
- Monitor supplier performance and address issues within assigned category of goods and service
- Represent Purchasing on assigned project teams (e.G., capital projects, software implementation).
- Prepare specifications for purchases.
- Issue purchase orders according to proper policies and procedures.
- Provide technical guidance to ensure compliance with professional and departmental standards.
- Assist departments in obtaining information on requested products and in the preparation of purchase specifications.
- Maintain documentation of buying transactions.
- Review and monitor incoming requisitions, confirming orders.
- Assist in policy and procedural compliance issues.
- Serve as a resource in solving customer or vendor problems. Conduct supplier business reviews as needed.
- Research discrepancies and reports findings.
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-4 years of related experience in purchasing/procurement.
- Bachelor s degree preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- High attention to detail.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP preferred.
- Solid organizational skills.
- Good problem-solving skills.
