Job Description
We are recruiting a Bookkeeper for a well-established Accounting firm in the Central Valley. This is a direct hire position that is 100% onsite. The Bookkeeper will handle daily accounting duties to ensure company finances are in order and under control. Pay: $25/hr.-$30/hr. DOE.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years of bookkeeping/payroll experience and a high level of accuracy, efficiency, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparing quarterly tax returns and year-end closing filings
- Maintaining accurate payroll records and financial reports
- Reconciling bank statements monthly and monitoring balances
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Performing general journal entries
- Processing payroll, including verifying employee work hours, issuing deductions and earnings, distributing payrolls, administering statements of payment, and addressing payroll-related issues or questions
- Maintaining organized files and records
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll and bookkeeping
- Certification as a Bookkeeper and/or Payroll Specialist
- Proficiency in Accounting CS, QuickBooks, SAGE, and Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced environment
