Pacific Staffing is partnering with our Stockton CA, based client in the search for an Associate HR Generalist to support their expanding Human Resources function. This senior-level role provides advanced operational and strategic support across multiple HR disciplines, working closely with HR leadership, people managers, and employees. We’re seeking a highly skilled HR professional who brings sound judgment, discretion, and a strong commitment to fostering a positive, compliant, and people-centered workplace. The ideal candidate thrives in complex environments, navigates sensitive situations with confidence, and contributes to scalable HR practices that strengthen organizational culture and overall performance.

  • Salary: $90K-$100K/ year (DOE)
  • 100% onsite 


Responsibilities

  • Provide senior-level operational and strategic support to HR leadership across multiple HR functions.
  • Coach managers and employees to support performance, development, and engagement.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex employee relations issues, investigations, and union-related matters.
  • Manage escalated leaves of absence and medical accommodations in compliance with California employment laws.
  • Ensure consistent interpretation and application of HR policies, procedures, and labor practices.
  • Lead cross-functional HR initiatives that improve efficiency and scalable HR operations.
  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain HRIS data accuracy and support employee inquiries on HR policies, benefits, payroll, and workplace matters.
  • Support compliance efforts, audits, reporting, and policy updates.


Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of HR experience in an HRBP or similar role.
  • HR certification (PHR or SHRM-CP) preferred.
  • Strong experience coaching employees and managers through complex and sensitive situations.
  • Solid understanding of HR principles, employment law, and labor practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and intermediate/advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong project management abilities and sound judgment in navigating sensitive matters.
