We are recruiting for an Accounting Technician with strong AR experience to join a non-profit organization in downtown Sacramento. This is a great opportunity to gain experience if you are early in your accounting career! The Accounting Technician will assist mostly accounts receivable transactions, reporting and some accounts payable. This is a contract to hire opportunity and our client offers CalPERS benefits once converted into a permanent employee. Pay: $24.72/hr.
The qualified candidate will have at least two years of experience working in an accounting department with mostly accounts receivable and accounts payable processing and reporting. Must be available to start immediately and work onsite in downtown Sacramento.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process and apply cash receipts accurately and efficiently
Perform accounts receivable reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
Conduct bank reconciliations, with preferred experience in sweep accounts
Possess a foundational understanding of debits and credits
