We are recruiting for an Accounting Manager to join a thriving entrepreneurial Sacramento based organization with operations in multiple states. Our client is a successful manufacturing distribution company that is committed to succession planning and opportunities for employee growth. This position reports to the Controller and will be the successor to that role. The Accounting Manager is responsible to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all accounting standards and regulations. As a key leader in managing financial accounts, payroll, budget, invoicing, cash receipts, and financial assets, the Accounting Manager will play an essential role in maintaining efficient processes and effective controls. 100% onsite. Salary: $120,000-$130,000 + discretionary bonus.
The qualified candidate will have five years of experience managing an accounting department, strong GAAP, general ledger, cost accounting and excellent leadership skills.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage all aspects of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and collections.
- Manage payroll, maintain accurate employee records, and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Conduct Month-End Closing.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
- Maintain high-quality financial data, implementing procedures for verification and quality control.
- Develop and implement budgets, monitoring financial performance, and reconciling financial transactions.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Stay updated on accounting regulations and ensure adherence to GAAP and other standards.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5-7 years of proven experience in accounting management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate account reconciliation.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
