We are recruiting a General Ledger Accountant to join a thriving organization located in West Sacramento. The General Ledger Accountant is responsible to prepare journal entries, reconciling financial statements and accounts, and ensuring accurate data. Salary: $70,000-$80,000 DOE.

The qualified candidate will have a minimum of two years’ accounting experience, be detail oriented, and have strong experience working with Bill.com.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform accounting duties in connection with month-end closing process, including preparing journal entries, bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations.
• Verify, allocate and post cash receipts and other transactions.
• Code invoices accurately to general ledger accounts, verifying proper documentation, and process the check.
• Prepare and maintain Excel spreadsheets. Upload invoices to the accounts payable system for the approval process.
• Address vendor inquiries, set up new vendors in the system, and ensure accuracy of vendor records.
• Deposit checks.
• Assist with annual audit, complete required materials, and assist in preparing schedules for the annual audit.
• Perform other related duties, as required

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience
• Strong analytic and accounting skills with solid understanding of GAAP
• High level of proficiency in MS Excel
• Accounting software experience (e.g., Bill.com) strongly preferred
• Very high degree of attention to detail
• Highly organized with excellent time management skills
• Integrity and an appreciation for confidentiality
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Positive, professional demeanor and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
