Accounting Manager

We are recruiting for an Accounting Manager to join a stable non-profit organization in North Sacramento. Our client offers a collaborative team, strong company culture and generous benefits package! The Accounting Manager will lead a team of 2 and reports to the CFO. As the Accounting Manager you will be responsible for oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, audit preparation and grants management. Salary range: $80,000-$100,000/year. 

The ideal candidate can produce clean and timely financial statements and is willing to lead and develop a team of two.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments.
• Prepares and maintains grants receivable and grant expense reporting. 
• Supports organization’s ongoing compliance with grants.
• Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files and reconciling accounts.
• Manage month-end close process.
• Oversee payroll entries to general ledger (bi-weekly and accruals).
• Post journal entries to general ledger.
• Manage employee expense reimbursement and the corporate credit program.
• Assist with preparation and execution of annual audit.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is highly desired. 
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience and knowledge with nonprofit finance and accounting practices
• Good problem-solving and time management skills.
