Senior Financial Analyst – Direct Hire – Hybrid (1-2 days a week remote)

We are recruiting for a driven Senior Financial Analyst to join a highly reputable professional services organization in the Sacramento area. Our client is in hyper growth mode and offers a hybrid schedule (1-2 days a week remote), ample advancement opportunities and a strong leadership team. This is a direct hire opportunity. Salary range: $90,000-$110,000.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience with financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and an understanding of GAAP compliance.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct analyses and reporting for corporate functions, including: monthly financials, budget to actual comparison, periodic forecasting, aggregated financial profitability, and graphical summaries of financial performance
• Support the methodology, concepts, and priorities for the annual budgeting process
• Monitor and analyze financial and operational data and performance indicators, highlighting trends, and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
• Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
• Perform periodic and ad hoc financial data analysis, queries, reconciliations, and reports as needed from the Board of Directors, Executive Team, or to satisfy external client or audit requests
• Understand, maintain, and continually improve budgeting, forecasting, and profitability processes, reports, tools and documentation which includes reviewing, validating, updating, and reconciling system data
• Other tasks as requested

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience/training
• 5 years of experience in a financial analyst role is ideal
• Prior accounting experience commensurate with the above Job Functions
• Communication skills to convey information effectively, accurately, and concisely.
• Sound knowledge of financial analysis principles and methods
• Ability to understand, interpret, and analyze complex financial data and information and translate into reports and presentations for appropriate audience
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with others, resolving conflict and developing relationships
• Strong planning, organizing, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of accounting and financial operations and processes
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Knowledge of computerized accounting/financial systems and how they are used in compiling, recording, and maintaining accounting/financial transactions and information
• Ability to tackle unfamiliar projects, assignments, and tasks with a positive attitude and influence and work in a support role
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with changing business priorities
• Ability to maintain and work discreetly with confidential information
