Transfer Center Coordinator
Downtown Sac, CA | Temporary Position
Responsibilities: The Transfer Center Coordinator will be working in a call center environment and phone skills are critical. About 90% of this role is done over the phone and managers are looking to "see the smilethrough the phone." The ideal candidate would have acute care experience as an MA, unit coordinator, Emergency Department Clerk, or prior LVN experience.
Requirements: BA is required. Five years' experience in ahospital, physician office, or case management setting. Previous financial counseling experience. Previous experience in working with database systems and telephone call center. Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills. Microsoft office software experience and strong PC skills. Knowledge of insurance authorization process. Medical and managed care terminology. Working knowledge of coding - ICD and CPT. Knowledge of third party reimbursement a plus.
