Job Description

We are searching for a Senior Finance & Controlling Manager to join a growing engineering consulting company with a regional office in Sacramento. This position reports to an intelligent, very well liked and highly respectedCFO. This position will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting/ finance and controlling functions- including controlling through MS Dynamics, budgeting, variance analysis, financial reporting (month end reports), monitoring project budgets and collaborating with corporate leadership team. The ideal candidate will have strong GAAP, FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and exposure to project accounting. This position will evolve as the organization continues to expand their US operations.

Responsibilities: Responsible for all aspects of general ledger accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, budgeting, cashflow, internal/external controls, costing, asset management and financial analysis. Manage monthly, quarterly and annual close cycles. Review transactions and assist billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable and money management functions when necessary. Prepare financial analysis for Executives. Control capital expenditures; perform financial analysis, justification of capital and major expense proposals. Prepare and file sales tax returns for multiple states. Prepare reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations. Manage annual budgeting process and provide quarterly forecasts.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is required. 5-8 years' experience with in the construction/engineering industry and job costingis highly desired. Must have knowledge Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including tax and audit reporting requirements. FAR preferred. Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, job costing background. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Strong sense of responsibility regarding timelyand accurate completion of work, and a strong commitment to corporate goals.
