Responsibilities: Performs monthly close: journaling payroll into the general ledger, bank reconciliations (including credit card reconciliations) and investment reconciliations. Reviews invoices for appropriateness and cuts manual checks as needed. Processes invoices through accounts payables system. Ensures coding to general ledger is appropriate utilizing QuickBooks Desktop. Reviews timecards, inputs payroll changes and processes bi-weekly payroll. Oversight of due dates on invoices to aid cash flow. Leads the duties of the Accounting Technician. Oversees bank deposits in conjunction with processing by Accounting Technician. Completes special projects at request of CFO, such as financial analysis reviews, procedure changes and audit reviews. Coordinates resolutions of chargebacks and third-party insufficient fund transactions. In-charge of cashiering functions at Special Events.
Requirements: 3 years' accounting experience. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. High degree of customer service skills, flexibility, conflictresolution skills, and team building. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks. Strong problem solving/analytical skills. Must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and written, when giving presentations, interviews, training and supervision. Attention to detail and accuracy in processing information. Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Intermediate knowledge of Excel (including pivot tables and v-lookup functions) and Word.
